Description

Amyloidosis is a group of disorders caused by abnormal folding, clumping, and/or accumulation of particular proteins within the tissues of various organs of the body. Amyloidosis Support Groups (ASG), a 501 C 3 non-profit, starts and maintains support groups for patients, families, and caregivers coping with all types of amyloidosis. ASG provides referrals, disease information and education and patient advocacy. ASG holds extensive meetings in more than 25 cities in the US, bringing together patients, caregivers, and expert physicians.
