Description

The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments, and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration, Usher syndrome and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases. The Foundation offers information and referral services for affected individuals and their families as well as for doctors and eye care professionals. Its newsletter, In Focus, presents articles on coping, research updates, and foundation news, and is published two times per year. A national VISIONS conference is held every other year.
