Description

The International WAGR Syndrome Association (IWSA) promotes awareness, stimulates research,  and supports families affected by WAGR syndrome. “ WAGR” is an acronym, which stands f or Wilms tumor, Aniridia, Genitourinary abnormalities, and a Range of developmental delays. WAGR syndrome also frequently involves a variety of additional medical conditions. I t is caused by a deletion on the short arm of chromosome 1 1 ( 11p13). The International WAGR Syndrome Association was established in 1 998, and currently represents 210 families in 42 countries. The IWSA maintains a comprehensive website, facilitates support groups on a variety of social media platforms, and hosts virtual and in-person meetings and conferences around the world. All services are free.
